Harland H. Eastman Genealogy Room

To acknowledge the long and devoted commitment to the growth and development of our marvelous genealogy and Maine history collection, the front room on the 2nd floor has been dedicated as the Harland H. Eastman Room.

When Harland began to expand and grow our collection, there was one row on one bookshelf.

We now have the largest collection of vital records in Southern Maine, and arguably the most

robust collection of Maine History and Genealogy in Southern Maine.

Patrons wishing to use the materials in the Genealogy Room may take notebooks, laptops, binders, and writing utensils into the restricted area but must leave bags, purses, and briefcases downstairs or in their vehicles
